Role Overview
Talentedge Technology have partnered with a global Media Production firm to hire an experienced IT Procurement Manager who will support a global procurement function in maximising value from technology and indirect spend. The role focuses on delivering cost savings while balancing critical business requirements such as quality, service performance, risk management, and security of supply across a broad portfolio of technology products and services.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s procurement technology strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders to challenge legacy delivery models and existing contracts while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This position sits within a global procurement community, collaborating with procurement professionals across multiple regions and supporting the development of a centre of excellence in commercial procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Category Management
- Provide technology category insights to support the design and improvement of procurement procedures and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Work with key stakeholders to scope, plan, and implement technology procurement strategies.
- Contribute to change management initiatives that support strategic procurement decisions across the organisation.
- Manage technology licensing agreements to ensure usage aligns with budget forecasts and avoids unplanned costs.
- Oversee existing technology contracts, monitoring renewal and termination timelines to support strategic renegotiation and cost optimisation.
- Conduct strategic reviews of suppliers and categories using market intelligence and supplier performance data.
- Establish governance mechanisms to monitor, review, and validate supplier performance and contract compliance.
- Lead performance reviews, including supplier KPI evaluation and improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and key internal stakeholders across the organisation.
- Support business units and functional teams in becoming more informed and effective when engaging with external suppliers.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to analyse third-party spend and identify opportunities for consolidation or strategic sourcing.
Market Analysis & Strategic Development
- Conduct external market research to identify best practices, potential efficiencies, and collaborative opportunities.
- Maintain and utilise intelligence on supplier markets, financial data, and industry trends to inform procurement strategy.
- Lead market engagement and development activities with suppliers and stakeholders.
Commercial Negotiations & Sourcing
- Lead negotiations with suppliers on key commercial and contractual matters.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including:
- Tender processes and documentation
- Evaluation criteria
- Contract mobilisation and governance frameworks
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal procurement policies and standards while delivering value for money.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing procurement initiatives within a large, complex, and matrixed organisation.
- Strong experience in global contract negotiation and commercial management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and business acumen.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with senior leadership teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of complex reports and presentations.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage contractual terms, performance milestones, and supplier governance.
