Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting multiple experienced steel fixers to join a commercial construction site in Exeter. This is a 6 month contract offering the chance to work on high-quality commercial projects.
Key Duties
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings to identify required reinforcement layouts.
- Cutting, bending, and shaping steel bars and mesh in line with project specifications.
- Accurately positioning steel reinforcement within formwork prior to concrete pours, ensuring correct placement and alignment.
- Securing reinforcement using tying wire, clamps, or welding methods to maintain strength and stability.
Requirements
Proven steel fixing experience within the construction industry.
Blue cscs card
Reliable, consistent, and strong work ethic.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate: 24-26 per hour (CIS available)
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm
- PPE and tools provided at site
- Possible long term work available after first phase is complete
