We’re looking for a Power Systems Evolution Manager to play a pivotal role in transforming Northern Ireland’s electricity system. This is a unique opportunity to lead innovation, influence energy policy, and enable a secure, low‑carbon future powered by renewable energy.
What You’ll
- DoLead delivery of the Operational Policy Roadmap across Northern Ireland and the all-island sys
- Drive technical analysis to support future system operations and renewable integrating
- Develop and enhance power system modelling capabilities
- Lead innovation initiatives and strategic programs
- Manage a portfolio of projects (budget, risk, quality, delivery)
- Build strong relationships across industry, government, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the organisation in external forums and working groups
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team
Team
- Degree in engineering, economics, mathematics or a related field
- 8+ years’ relevant experience
- Strong understanding of energy markets and/or power system modelling
- Knowledge of energy system flexibility and emerging technologies (e.g. storage, interconnect ion)
- Proven ability to lead and develop team
- Excellent communication skills, you will be able to simplify complex technical to pics
- Strong collaboration, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Adaptable, solution-focused and confident decision‑making
- Experience in the energy sector (electricity, gas, or wider system)
- Knowledge of all-island energy policy / Single Electricity Market experience engaging with regulators or policy
