The OpportunityWe are working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a pre-construction or estimating background who is looking to step into a more strategic, client-facing role.
You’ll play a key part in securing and shaping projects from early engagement through to handover to delivery teams, working across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager, you will:
Lead the mechanical pre-construction process from tender through to project awardManage and coordinate tender submissions, ensuring competitiveness and accuracyReview drawings, specifications, and client requirementsWork closely with estimators, design teams, and supply chain partnersAttend client meetings and contribute to bid strategy and value engineeringIdentify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutionsSupport the transition from pre-construction to project delivery

Mechanical EstimatorsSenior EstimatorsPre-Construction Engineers or ManagersDesign & Build / Bid professionals within M&EYou’ll ideally have:
Experience within mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, etc.)A strong understanding of pre-construction / tendering processesCommercial awareness and the ability to interpret technical informationGood communication skills and confidence working with clientsA proactive and collaborative approach
