Position
We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work within Morris & Spottiswood England Division in Warrington. The role of Quantity Surveyor takes commercial responsibility for the contract performance for allocated works to maximise both turnover and profitability for contracts allocated.
Responsibilities
This role involves:
- Taking commercial responsibility for contract performance to maximise turnover and profitability.
- Implementing robust commercial processes to ensure clients receive high quality, value for money and effective change management.
- Working with fast‑track schemes that have a high degree of change throughout the contract period.
- Interfacing with other members of the internal project team and maintaining accuracy and quality to client standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant quantity surveying degree qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ working experience, preferably as an established QS within the Financial Sector.
- Experience with a blue‑chip contractor or main contracting background is preferable.
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Full UK driving licence.

The successful individual will be dedicated, results‑driven and have a successful background in achieving profitable contracts. They will possess an analytical approach, excellent time‑management, strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and architects. They should communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and work well as part of a team, interacting positively with colleagues, internal and external clients.
Other Information
Successful candidates must be willing to work out of our Warrington office base location on occasion, however we do operate a hybrid working model. You will also be required to visit sites throughout the UK on occasion.

Competitive salary dependent on experience.
