We are a diverse team of finance professionals which is highly regarded across the organisation. We are looking to recruit up to two Finance Business Partner roles offered as either a fixed term contract or internal secondment for a 15-month period. A second role arises in our corporate finance team where priorities include production of the County Council’s statutory financial accounts, responding to external audit, monitoring and expenditure governance for our assets and investment programme, and accountancy and funding implications of local government reorganisation. The successful candidate(s) will support a range of activities, such as business partnering a portfolio of services or contributing to projects that deliver local and national change programmes such as SEND reforms, audit recovery and local government reorganisation.

You will be responsible for providing finance business partnering support to a portfolio of council services, and for being the business partner to several heads of service and budget managers. This will include managing finance support to services through the whole financial cycle, from medium-term financial planning and budget setting, to in-year financial monitoring, to accounts production.
