This is a hands-on leadership role—not one for sitting behind a desk. You’ll be at the heart of the operation, leading from the front, making real-time decisions, and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and on target. You’ll take full ownership of output, performance, and people, building a culture of accountability while delivering measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Drive on-time delivery and operational efficiency targets
  • Ensure readiness of materials, machinery, and labour before each shift
  • Act quickly to remove bottlenecks and maintain flow

Performance & Accountability

  • Lead daily performance meetings with clear actions and ownership
  • Hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and output
  • Reduce waste, scrap, and downtime through strong shop-floor control
  • Use data and KPIs to drive decisions and improvements
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Improve workflows, cycle times, and productivity
  • Partner with engineering to resolve recurring issues
  • Embed Lean and 5S principles into daily operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leaders
  • Build a high-performance culture with clear expectations
  • Address underperformance constructively and confidently
  • Support training and cross-skilling initiatives

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IATF, ISO)
  • Act immediately on risks and maintain safe systems of work

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing large teams
  • Strong understanding of OEE/OAE and performance metrics
  • Confident communicator who can influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Automotive sector experience
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge

Why This Role?

  • High-impact leadership position with real autonomy
  • Opportunity to shape culture and drive performance
  • Work within a globally recognised manufacturing environment
  • Competitive salary + benefits
