Our client is recruiting for a HVAC Manager in the Midlands / South of England area to support the delivery of HVAC consultancy services across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the client, sub‑contractors and manufacturers
- Advise on planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with the company’s PPM and task schedules
- Produce technical and situational reports as required
- Use technology systems to ensure the company can meet contractual obligations at all times
- Write activity reports in line with company procedures accurately and timely
- Assist the management team to produce quotations by providing accurate and high‑quality information when extra work is identified
- Attend team meetings/briefings as requested at all times
- Escalate any major site issues or incidents to the line manager as soon as possible
- Manage sub‑contractors
- Actively participate in health and safety processes under the company’s policies and procedures, including accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing
- Travel the UK when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a lead engineer or supervisory role will be beneficial
- Ideally a multi‑disciplined engineer (Air Conditioning with good Electrical/Plumbing knowledge of building services)
- Familiarity with boilers, heating systems, air handling systems, motors, pumps and HVAC
- Chiller knowledge would be beneficial
- Additional trade qualifications (C&G F‑gas / NVQ Plumbing) would be beneficial
- Experience working in a high‑end client environment with regular face‑to‑face engagement with building managers will be an advantage
- Record keeping and filing of works records is a prerequisite; must have completed a recognised time‑served Air‑conditioning apprenticeship
- C&G 2078 Safe Handling of refrigerants (not essential)
- C&G 2079 F‑Gas
- Excellent building services experience
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable but not essential)
- ACS Commercial Gas (desirable but not essential)
- C&G/NVQ in Plumbing (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience in a similar role
