The Role
We are recruiting an Early Years Level 5 Apprentice to join our team at Little Adventures Nursery in St Philips. This apprenticeship is ideal for an experienced level 3 practitioner, who is committed to developing professionally within early years education and wishes to gain a Level 5 qualification while working with children aged 0-5 years. Working alongside experienced practitioners and mentors, the apprentice will support the planning and delivery of high-quality, inclusive play-based learning that promotes children’s development, wellbeing and readiness for school. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of observation-led learning activities.
- Promoting children’s personal, social, emotional and communication development through nurturing interactions.
- Contributing to assessment and record-keeping in line with nursery policies and the apprenticeship requirements.
- Maintaining a safe, hygienic and stimulating learning environment.
- Working with families to share progress and support continuity of care and learning.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision and professional development activities.
- Complying with safeguarding, health & safety and confidentiality procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in early years education and a desire to achieve a Level 5 qualification.
- Already hold a level 3 Qualification in Early Years.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and children’s welfare and safeguarding.
- Basic literacy and numeracy; willingness to complete any required functional skills or portfolio work.
- Previous experience or volunteering in a childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
Hours
40 hours per weekMonday–Friday (actual daily hours to be agreed)
