Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for reliable and hardworking Driver’s Mates to join our team and work with a range of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Whether you’re looking to pick up extra shifts, work around other commitments, or simply want flexible work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role

As a Driver’s Mate, you’ll work alongside the driver to help ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Safely moving goods to and from vehicles
• Assisting with multi-drop deliveries
• Working as part of a two-person delivery team
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, manual handling or Driver’s Mate work is beneficial but not essential
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible and available to work different shifts

Pay & Benefits

• £12.71 per hour PAYE
• £14.24 per hour PAYE Advanced
