We’re looking for a commercially minded Retention Analytics Manager to turn customer data into actionable insight that drives player engagement, value, and long‑term loyalty. The role sits at the heart of the lifecycle and CRM ecosystem, working closely with CRM, Commercial, Product and Marketing teams to deliver high‑impact analysis, support test‑and‑learn initiatives, and build measurement frameworks that evaluate performance across the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a team in delivering solutions for complex business cases using a variety of data analytics technologies and techniques, including data processing, engineering, statistical analysis, data visualisation and optimisation.
- Supervise audit and quality assurance reviews of work within the Data Analytics function.
- Facilitate best‑practice standards for business intelligence applications, promoting standardisation and re‑usability of reporting solutions across the group.
- Provide insight into the development of the Data Analytics strategy and solutions portfolio, keeping up to date on evolving technology and industry trends.
- Maintain partnerships with functional heads across the group to determine analytics requirements, including those that require deep data science capabilities, plan and deliver solutions, and identify actionable insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate development of data visualisations such as reports, dashboards and analyses to distribute data insights in an easily digestible manner to all relevant stakeholders.
- Drive the educational development of the Data Analytics user community, ensuring the community is equipped with the knowledge to utilise the solutions effectively and efficiently.
- Champion emerging trends and changes in data analytics, continuously developing and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Coach talent and manage others to develop capabilities, ensuring performance through upskilling, development and recruitment.
- Implement ways to improve working processes within the area of data analytics responsibility.
- Take initiative to master new toolsets (coding languages, data platforms, etc.) as need and opportunity arise.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a data analytics role, ideally in CRM & Commercial analytics.
- Strong knowledge in A/B testing and hypothesis testing.
- Ability to transform complex data into plain English, with exceptional presentation skills.
- Exceptional data wrangling skills, handling complex datasets to combine and automate analytics workflows.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Proficiency in Python, R or an equivalent language.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Demonstrated analytical leadership skills.
- Excellent understanding of KPIs, business processes and data context.
- Capability to clarify business hypotheses and apply analytical techniques to test them.
- Capability to interpret data and drive business conclusions.
