Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Quality Controller to join our team in Chertsey. As a Quality Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional quality.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct inspections and audits to assess product quality and identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications.
  • Support the development of (PS1) quality control procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Production, and procurement, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop effective solutions to address quality concerns and improve overall product quality.
  • Establish and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and quality records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
  • Conduct physical inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Identify noon-conformities, defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Support customer inquiries and complaints related to quality, investigating issues and providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to quality control and incorporate them into the company’s quality management system. columns.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience working as a Quality Controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, UK and MOD standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with quality tools and techniques such as root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and the ability to communicate quality-related information effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • IT literate and proficient with MS Office.
