Maintenance Electrician

Overview

National Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a permanent basis. The client is a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top‑tier services across FMCG and commercial industries.

The position is site based in Bolton.

Package

• Competitive salary up to £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Training, development and progression opportunities

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
• Install, repair and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers and lighting fixtures
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and circuitry
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
