Electrical Design Manager

£70,000 – £80,000 + Car Allowance, BUPA, Pension

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee LV electrical design activities across multiple projects and site locations
• Manage and support a team of Electrical Design Engineers, ensuring high technical standards and project delivery
• Support compliance activities and client site assessments
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers within the team
• Ensure all designs meet relevant technical specifications, standards and QA requirements
• Work closely with clients, project teams and site teams throughout project deliveryDrive continuous improvement and engineering best practice across the design function

Qualifications

• Strong background in LV electrical design and industrial systems
• Previous leadership or management experience
• Detailed knowledge of motor starters, relay logic and electrical control systems
• Experience using an electrical CAD package, ideally EPLAN
• Knowledge of BS EN and BS EN 60947 standards
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills

Located in Cheshire, this role would be commutable from Chester, Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester and other surrounding areas.
