An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Principal Software & Hardware Assurance Practitioner to join a leading defence and aerospace engineering environment, working on cutting‑edge safety‑critical systems across air, land, maritime, and space sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead independent technical assessments of complex electronic hardware and safety‑critical software
• Provide assurance against standards including DO-254 and EN 61508-2
• Conduct audits, reviews, and lifecycle assessments
• Support and mentor engineering teams
• Engage with customers and stakeholders across the UK and Europe

What We’re Looking For

• Background in software/hardware assurance or safety‑critical engineering
• Experience with VHDL, FPGA, ASIC, and PLC technologies
• Strong understanding of CEH standards and hardware lifecycles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, or equivalent experience
