An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Community Public Health Assistant 5-19, to join the Basingstoke Community Public Health Nursing 5-19 Team (formerly known as School Nursing) on a term‑time only contract of 22.5 hours per week based at Parklands House in Basingstoke.
We are looking for motivated individuals with good knowledge and experience of working with children, young people and families. You should be able to work within a skill‑mixed team to deliver allocated components of the Healthy Child Programme and work in partnership with schools to promote and enhance the health and well‑being of children and families.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team player under the delegation of the Community Public Health Nurse 5-19.
- Promote and enhance the health and well‑being of children and families through partnership with schools.
- Maintain accurate clinical records on the electronic record system.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of working with children, young people and families.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate well with children and young people.
- Excellent IT skills; ability to record clinical data on the electronic record system.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
- Full driving licence, access to a car and insurance for business use.
