Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, test, and validate reliable electrical systems for a range of advanced mechanical and electrical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring systems, and panel layouts in line with relevant standards and regulations
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and parts lists
• Conduct simulations and engineering analyses to support and validate designs
• Select appropriate electrical and electronic components for system integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
• Support the development of control strategies in collaboration with software/controls engineers
• Contribute to new product development and enhancement of existing designs
• Develop and implement testing methods to ensure product quality and performance
• Apply knowledge of safety‑critical systems to electrical design work
• Provide technical support in line with internal standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• HND, degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar electrical design role
• Experience using industry‑standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)
• Ability to read and produce detailed electrical drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical regulations and design standards
• Experience working within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment
