Counterbalance Operator (FLT)

Responsible to – Shift Manager

Purpose of the role – To support the warehouse, Stock Rotation, Loading & unloading of HGV’s and Replenishment of customer goods with the safe operation of Counterbalance trucks and use of hand scanners.

Client brief – Our client is a world‑renowned warehousing organisation supporting blue‑chip companies with warehousing and distribution functions.

The role – Our client is looking for Counterbalance Operators to support their existing team in their Ambient (room temperature) Warehousing Operation in Trafford Park. As a Counterbalance Operator, the requirements are varied but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely operating a Counterbalance truck within site health and safety requirements at all times.
• Rotating stock, Loading & unloading of HGV deliveries, storing and collecting products from pallets with use of CB Truck & handheld scanners.
• Working within a team to complete daily warehouse targets.
• Delivering a high standard of productivity at all times to ensure smooth operation within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating Counterbalance Trucks is essential.
• FLT Counterbalance licence holder is essential.
• Previous experience with hand scanners is essential.
• Must be reliable and committed.
• Must be able to communicate in English to a high standard (verbal and written).
• Flexible approach to duties and tasks.

Hours & Pay

• Hours – (FIXED AFTERNOONS) 12pm-10pm Monday to Friday.
• Pay – (FIXED AFTERNOONS) £13.25ph. Overtime – (All overtime is optional) Saturdays 1.5x basic rate, Sundays 2.0x basic rate.
