As part of Bellrock, you’ll control the spend on reactive and quoted jobs using pre‑agreed approval guidelines and supplier prices, support the efficient flow of work that is critical to the client’s commercial operation, and prevent budget overspend by stopping non‑critical spend.

What You’re Responsible For:

  • Releasing jobs to suppliers or placing jobs on hold
  • Ensuring the application of supplier schedules of rates and pre‑agreed approval criteria
  • React to changes in approval requirements
  • Prevent the build‑up of unassessed spend requests by ensuring all the workload is cleared daily
  • Develop strong relationships with the client and provide timely responses to requests for help and support
  • Monitor and liaise with suppliers to ensure the effective day‑to‑day delivery of the service and identify and escalat any performance issues to the Quantity Surveyor
  • Highlight inappropriate supplier behaviours to the Quantity Surveyor and Head of Supply Chain
  • Provide coaching and support the development of others
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety culture ensuring any issues and areas of concern are escalated to your line manager

  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably assigned by the line manager, and which are consistent with the postholder’s knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory completion of business needs.

Essential

  • Qualifications/Training Required:
    • Literacy and numeracy
    • IT literate
    • Excel proficient
  • Experience Required:
    • Administrative experience
    • Experience of a similar cost control role
    • Working to deadlines

Working arrangements

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the head office Leicester, Monday to Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm.
