Job Description:

About the Role

As a Project Manager at Tecforce, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for defining clear project objectives aligned to business strategy, securing stakeholder commitment, and leading the end-to-end delivery of projects.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and stakeholder management skills. You will oversee all aspects of project governance, risk management, and resource planning, ensuring robust controls and processes are in place to support effective decision‑making and successful outcomes.

Working across multidisciplinary teams, including Engineering, Operations, and site‑based personnel, you will drive collaboration and maintain a clear focus on delivering value. The role is central to implementing strategic initiatives and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and develop detailed project plans based on inspection findings
  • Manage project delivery, including schedules, progress tracking, and key milestones
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear, consistent communication and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and motivate cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and site‑based welders
  • Plan and manage resources, logistics, and timelines to ensure efficient and effective project execution
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and changes to scope
  • Oversee technical queries (TQs) and ensure alignment and accuracy of project documentation
  • Monitor project performance to ensure delivery within budget and in line with required standards
  • Maintain effective governance, reporting structures, and project controls
  • Coordinate site access, permits, and safety documentation, including WPP and RAMS

About You

You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering projects in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment. You bring strong planning, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, alongside the ability to manage multiple stakeholders with confidence.

You are a clear and credible communicator, capable of engaging and influencing at all levels, and translating complex information into practical, accessible insights. You are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively, manage competing demands, and maintain control under pressure.

With a proactive and resilient mindset, you take ownership of delivery and are committed to achieving results. You are naturally inquisitive, willing to challenge constructively, and driven to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

You demonstrate high levels of integrity and accountability, ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed scope, time, cost, and quality expectations. You thrive in collaborative environments, building strong relationships and bringing teams together to achieve shared goals.

Experience working with technical or engineering documentation is essential. A project management qualification (such as PRINCE2 or APM PMQ/PPQ) and experience within the rail industry or coordinating site‑based teams would be advantageous but are not essential.

Working Arrangements

This role is primarily office‑based; however, there will be an expectation to spend up to two days per week on customer sites, depending on project requirements and business needs. Flexibility will be required to accommodate travel and on‑site engagements.
