Overview
University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Coding Audit Manager to lead the Internal Clinical Coding Audit Programme, including clinical engagement audits and audit validation using the Live Audit Tool, and to mentor trainee auditors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the effective audit of all codified data output across the Trust to ensure alignment with National Clinical Coding Standards and Local Clinical Coding Policies.
- Manage and deliver the Internal Clinical Coding Audit Programme, including clinical engagement audits and audit validation.
- Manage and mentor trainee auditors.
- Drive improvements in data quality, documentation, and performance metrics.
- Engage with stakeholders and support the Trust’s performance improvement agenda.
Qualifications and Skills
- Accredited Clinical Coding Auditor status (essential).
- Expert grasp of National Clinical Coding Standards and Healthcare Resource Group (HRG) allocation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills; ability to work under pressure.
