Thatcher Associates is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable construction company based in the Channel Islands. We are seeking an experiencedSite Managerto join their team inGuernsey.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will manage day-to-day site operations on building projects typically ranging from2m to 15m. Project types include apartments, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and other general building schemes.

Section of WorksYou will oversee a broad section of works including:

  • Structural works and concrete frames

  • Fit-out and finishing trades

  • External works and interfaces with utilities

  • Coordination of specialist subcontract packages

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site activities and workforce

  • Coordinate, supervise, and drive subcontractor performance

  • Report progress to the Project Manager

  • Maintain programme, quality, and cost control

  • Lead site logistics and sequencing to keep works moving efficiently

Health & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with company and statutory health & safety requirements

  • Lead site safety briefings and toolbox talks

  • Monitor site conditions, implement corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture

Location & RelocationThis role is based inGuernsey, and candidates should be prepared to relocate. Schooling options on the island can be limited, so the position may be more suited to someone able to take up an unaccompanied role.
