Our service offers a comprehensive group work programme that includes psychoeducation sessions, therapeutic groups, and opportunities to engage with 12-step fellowship. These are designed to help individuals build self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and establish strong, supportive recovery networks. The Role

As an Addiction Rehab Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide emotional, practical, and therapeutic support to residents helping them to develop coping skills, access community resources, and achieve personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals in recovery.
  • Assist in facilitating group work and psychoeducation sessions.
  • Encourage and support participation in 12-step fellowship meetings and community recovery activities.
  • Support residents with daily living skills, health, and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, counsellors, and social workers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational policies.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping others make positive life changes.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people affected by addiction, homelessness, or mental health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This is a night shift role covering weekdays and weekends. The occasional day shift may be required.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.

Desirable

  • Member of SSSC or willing to register.
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, psychoeducation, and recovery models.
  • Familiarity with the 12-step approach or similar peer-support frameworks.
