The Team:

Product Management is responsible for the overall direction and quality of Jefferies’ equity research product. Our Equity Research teams analyse companies with the goal of being our clients’ first call for investment ideas, longer-term themes and industry expertise, and the Product Management team supports this effort by ensuring our research content is the best it can be for our clients and sales partners.

The Role:

This role is perfect for candidates who have some previous experience in Equity Research or Sales and are looking to apply that knowledge across the full range of sectors, incorporating a macro and strategy mindset with an understanding of how best to tell broking stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribute to our recommendation review committee process
  • Contribute to management processes, dashboards and controls
  • Organise and contribute to pan-sector notes, in response to thematics and breaking news
  • Encourage and practice across the research department in terms of marketability of message, speed to market and connectivity with the rest of our business
  • Up to 2 yrs previous experience in Equity Research or Sales – understanding how Research works and what makes an impactful idea
  • Suitable academic background and an eclectic range of interests across economics, politics and business
  • A high level of numeracy and the ability to think analytically. The role demands extensive use of MS Excel and familiarity with both the application generally and its higher-level functions is beneficial
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work across multiple teams, understand a wide range of industry models and influence senior analysts within the recommendation review process
