Our client is a highly-regarded asbestos company known for their expertise in professional asbestos removal and demolition throughout the UK. They are currently looking to employ an experienced, commercially-focused and determined Asbestos Removals Contracts Manager based in and around the Greater Manchester. They looking for applicants who demonstrate a proven track record of planning works, generating method statements and managing a large team of asbestos operatives as well as pricing, tendering and overseeing asbestos removals contracts. Consideration will be given to application from Oldham, Wigan, Stockport, Bolton and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have a strong asbestos removals, contracts and management background.
  • Previous experience in a contracts manager role within the asbestos industry.
  • Hold a good working knowledge of asbestos removals works.
  • Excellent working knowledge of asbestos Health and Safety legislations/procedures.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Contract Managing Asbestos Removal projects in the South West region.
  • Planning upcoming and current asbestos works.
  • Managing and over-seeing a large team of asbestos operatives.
  • Pricing, tendering overseeing asbestos removal contracts.
  • Overseeing demolition contracts and site staff.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the correct Health & Safety procedures.
  • Completing risk assessments, method statements, writing tenders, PPQs, specifications and ASB5 notifications.
  • Achieving KPI’s.
  • Assessing potential contracts.
  • Organisation of staff to achieve completion of contracts.
  • Collating and producing management reports in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries and generating new business leads.
  • Building and maintaining a strong professional rapport with clients and colleagues of all professional levels.

Overall, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic with an adaptable approach to work. Applicants must also be prepared to travel extensively as per the clients requirements.
