The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Boeing Distribution Services organization is currently seeking a Project Management Specialist (Level 3). Distribution Services strives to be the premier Parts Distributor in Aerospace and Defense, delivering unmatched quality, capability, and service for our global customers. The Technical Portfolio Operations group within Boeing Distribution Services serves to identify, prioritize, and execute business (operational) and technical (integration) initiatives that unlock efficiency, enable first‑time quality, improve accountability, engender customer loyalty, and drive profitable growth.
This role will work cross‑functionally as a leader among peers, identifying and managing the complete life cycles of continuous improvement projects that enable operational excellence and directly influence business and customer outcomes.
Position Responsibilities
- Support global kitting and bin management initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, ensuring compliance with project management standards.
- Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies to enhance business cases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality and efficiency.
- Manage customer requests and proposals, providing cost data and facilitating collaboration among teams.
- Help support and develop team members to enhance overall performance.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure project success.
- Maintain a customer‑centric approach to improve experience, driving business profitability and efficiency for Boeing.
- Build collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to achieve project objectives.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Relevant work experience of at least four years.
- Direct project or program management experience in at least one prior role, collaborating across complex cross‑functional organizations.
- Prior experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution.
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
- Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate degree in International Business, Business Management, or related field(s).
- Ability to work across multiple time zones upon request.
- Comfortable with defining and managing business requirements and aligning stakeholders.
- Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience, ideally with a focus on aftermarket activities.
- Program Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification.
- Experience leading or supporting complex organizational change management projects.
- Experience with line‑of‑business applications such as ERP (S/4Hana), Warehouse Management, Planning and Procurement, and business productivity systems.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
Typical Education & Experience
Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor’s) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of formal education and/or hands‑on experience.
