Residential Conveyancing Manager

Overview

Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days office / 3 days remote)

Salary: Up to £46,000 DOE

About the Role

Simpson Judge Legal is currently working with a growing and well-established client who is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Manager to join their Manchester-based team.

This role offers a slightly different setup to traditional conveyancing environments, with work generated via banks and asset managers rather than estate agents. This provides a more structured and consistent caseload, without the pressure of business development.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a team of conveyancers and assistants
• Overseeing a caseload of residential property matters (freehold, leasehold and shared ownership)
• Monitoring team performance and ensuring files progress efficiently
• Providing technical support and mentoring to junior team members
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes
• Liaising with clients and key stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience within residential conveyancing
• Previous supervisory experience or a strong senior conveyancer looking to step up
• Experience handling freehold, leasehold and shared ownership transactions
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage workloads within a structured environment
