Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor – MEP (Data Centres)

Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire)

Type: Full-time | Permanent | On-site

Salary: £90,000 – £100,000

We’re working with a specialist contractor delivering MEP packages into data centre environments across the UK and Europe.

They’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team, supporting delivery from tender through to final account across technically complex projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the full commercial lifecycle of MEP packages (£1m–£50m+)
• Working closely with project teams to manage cost, risk, and contract performance
• Procuring subcontractors and managing tenders, negotiations, and appointments
• Handling valuations, variations, and change control
• Producing cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts
• Supporting commercial strategy and mentoring junior QSs where needed
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain

What you’ll need

• 5–10 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (MEP-focused)
• Experience on data centres or other mission-critical projects (pharma, healthcare etc.)
• Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
• Solid procurement and subcontract management experience
• Able to manage multiple packages in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel to sites where required
