The Role

We are seeking an experienced KS2 Classroom Assistant to join a supportive primary environment on a long‑term basis. You will work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging learning experiences, promote pupil independence, and help maintain a calm, purposeful classroom atmosphere.

Classroom Assistant Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily classroom support across Key Stage 2, including small‑group and 1:1 interventions.

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of high‑quality learning activities.

  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

  • Support pupils’ wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and wider staff to promote a consistent and supportive learning experience.

  • Contribute to daily routines, behaviour expectations, and classroom organisation.

Classroom Assistant Essential Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working in Key Stage 2

  • Ability to follow teacher direction while also working independently

  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

  • Committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and development

  • Positive, professional approach with a genuine passion for education
