Summary

Passenger Assistants are needed to support children and vulnerable adults travelling to and from school and care services during school term time. The role is weekdays only, with no weekend or evening work. Work will involve accompanying passengers in taxis or minibuses and accepting or declining assignments in advance.

About the Role

As a Passenger Assistant you will ensure passengers always have safe and comfortable journeys. You will work closely with passengers, drivers, parents/carers, the Passenger Transport team, schools and care providers, and take a pro‑active approach to resolving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany passengers to and from school or care services.
  • Ensure safe and comfortable journeys in taxis or minibuses.
  • Resolve any issues or concerns that arise during transport.
  • Collaborate with drivers, parents/carers and support staff as required.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive presence as part of a tight‑knit team.
