Apprentice Supervisor

Hours: 35 per week (5 days). Pay: £13.61 per hour. Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package including virtual GP and discounted services and products.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service, greet customers, and assist with product location.
• Operate tills efficiently and provide a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock safely, receive deliveries, and place products in freezers and on shelves.
• Participate in daily and weekly shop routines to keep the shop clean and tidy.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and support the manager in leading the team.
• Work with the team to ensure smooth shop operations.
• Assist with training and apprenticeship coursework as required.
• Ensure all apprenticeship provider tasks are completed on time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Positive, hardworking, friendly approach to work.
• Enjoy a busy working environment and be ready to handle varied tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality; key team member.
• Some flexibility with shifts; rota planned 3 weeks in advance.
• Ability to complete Employment Verification and Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland checks.

Training and Assessment

• Regular visits from the apprenticeship provider; video calls via Microsoft Teams.
• Completion of apprenticeship coursework.
• Achieve essential skills in Communication and Maths (if applicable).
• Assessment at the end of 12 months of training.
• Obtain Retail Skills (Management) Level 3 qualification.
