Apprentice Teacher of Mathematics
Salary: Unqualified Teacher 1 (£22,601 per annum)

Trainer: Unity Schools Partnership / University of Buckingham accredited
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about working with children and who can build good relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external agencies. The role is suitable for degree‑educated unqualified teachers, HLTAs, teaching assistants and those with existing classroom teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics on a 60% timetable, rising to 80% towards the end of training, sharing the classroom with expert practitioners.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Participate in the Unity Schools Partnership ITE programme, attending one day of national curriculum training per week.
- Engage in core and subject‑specific learning, school visits and regional days.
- Complete the CPD offer and pursue QTA and optional PGCE opportunities.
Qualifications
- Degree education (e.g., HLTAs, teaching assistants).
- Unqualified teacher status or a background in primary or secondary teaching.
- Strong understanding of mathematics pedagogy and curriculum delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
