Your Team
Our engineering team sits within IG Prime, strengthening IG’s institutional client offering. The FIX Integrations team builds and maintains the APIs that connect IG to institutional clients and partners worldwide, delivering resilient, high‑performance trading and market data integration.
Your Role in the Team’s Success
You will play a key part in creating a new suite of robust trading APIs in the cloud, enabling IG Prime to onboard new clients and expand into new markets.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain IG’s FIX APIs
- Deliver new functionality as defined in the IG Prime product roadmap
- Provide technical support to IG’s clients and FIX support teams as required
- Monitor and manage FIX API services, focusing on performance, reliability, and resilience
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and deliver excellent service
- Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform
What You’ll Need for This Role
- Experience developing external APIs
- A continuous improvement mindset, including experience with AI coding tools
- Ability to identify development risks and build mitigations
- Approximately five years of Java development experience
- Strong concurrent and multithreaded programming skills
- Experience with asynchronous systems (streaming, messaging)
- Experience using the Spring Framework
- Linux proficiency, including shell scripting
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
