Due to growth we are expanding our core Java Engineering team based in London. Technically, you will have knowledge of J2SE programming, understanding of web architectures and databases. Your knowledge/experience in Java will be at expert level and include software design principles and familiarity with algorithms and data structures. This role need a minimum of 3 years experience and you will have ideally touched concurrency and understand heap, etc.

Required Skills and Knowledge
- Java (Core / J2SE)
- Proactive attitude
- Ability to own projects, work both independently and in an agile team, with rapidly changing priorities
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Understanding of common OO design patterns
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Desired skills and knowledge
- Computer Science background or degree
- Commercial Core Java experience (including concurrency and multi-threading)
- Experience of working in a fast paced startup environment
- Database knowledge & experience (SQL, schema design, JDBC)
- Understanding of network / web technologies (HTTP, HTML, XML)
- Ability to develop clean, self-documented code as part of a team and write clear technical documentation
