£30 – £32.00 per hour
9:00am – 5:00pm – Flexible Working Available

- We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Advice / Prevention / Homelessness Assessment Officer to join a busy Housing Options Service in West London.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional who can hit the ground running and manage a varied caseload within a fast-paced service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver frontline Housing Options advice and homelessness assessments
- Undertake prevention and relief duties under the relevant legislation
- Manage a diverse caseload from initial approach through to resolution
- Conduct homelessness enquiries and investigations
- Draft and issue Section 184 decision letters
- Work as part of the Housing Options Duty Service
- Maintain accurate case records and comply with statutory requirements
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act
- Proven experience in Housing Options / Homelessness Assessment roles
- Experience conducting homelessness enquiries and casework
- Ability to manage multiple demands in a high-pressure environment
- Experience writing s184 decision letters
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Basic DBS
Working Arrangements
- Flexible working offered by the council
- Initial 2–4 week office-based induction
- After induction, 50% office-based / hybrid working
