Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Manager (Band 6) to join the Group Executive Office at the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group. This key coordination role supports the Group Chief Nurse, Group Medical Director, Group Chief Delivery Officer and Group Chief Finance Officer, ensuring the effective running of senior leadership functions across the Group.
In this role you will play a central part in managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and governance processes, producing high‑quality reports and briefings, and tracking key actions and decisions across a wide range of strategic and operational priorities. Working closely with the Head of Performance and Head of Clinical Business & Reporting, you will act as a trusted partner, supporting delivery, assurance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate complex diaries and meetings, prepare agendas and papers, produce accurate minutes and action logs, ensuring timely follow‑up of decisions.
- Support governance and assurance processes by maintaining accurate records, tracking actions, and liaising with hospital and corporate teams.
- Collate, analyse and summarise information for Board reports, dashboards and senior briefings; coordinate leadership‑led projects and monitor milestones and delivery.
- Manage key workforce administration for the office, including recruitment coordination, appraisal tracking, sickness and annual leave monitoring, and maintaining accurate ESR records.
- Support financial management activities, including tracking cost‑improvement initiatives and assisting with business cases and proposals.
- Act as a professional first point of contact for the Group Office, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, building effective relationships across clinical and non‑clinical teams, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve ways of working through better use of digital tools and processes.
