Do you have experience of building surveying, contract management or working within the construction industry. We currently have a vacancy for a Service Manager (Hard FM) to join our Facilities and Assets Team.
Our team are looking for a friendly, reliable, helpful individual to join our team in managing Hard FM works relating to building fabric and bus stop repairs & contracted services. This includes, maintenance and repair of the CA’s infrastructure including bus stations, on street infrastructure, rail station car parks, turning circles and other portfolio of properties. Creating key performance indicators, whilst adhering to statutory/contractual obligations that include health and safety at West Yorkshire Combined Authority locations.
This will also include the procurement of services, producing design briefs, specifications and estimates across all Hard and Soft FM services. We will be responsible for managing, implementing and monitoring multiple contracts and other projects relating to the Combined Authorities portfolio of assets.

The Role
Reporting into Assets Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage Facilities and Assets 24-hour Hard FM contracted services which includes, but not limited building fabric, on street infrastructure, planned preventative maintenance, emergency repair works, health and safety and site management. To ensure that all statutory and compliance works are undertaken across the CA’s portfolio of assets.
- Create key performance indicators, whilst adhering to statutory/contractual obligations that include health and safety at West Yorkshire Combined Authority locations.
- Manage procurement of services, producing design briefs, specifications and estimates across building fabric works and on-street repairs and services.
- Manage implement and monitor multiple contracts.
- Provide technical knowledge on building fabric / constructions works cross bus stations and other Combined Authority assets.
About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in Hard FM contract management.
- Experience of successfully preparing technical specifications.
- Proven Contract Management skills, and knowledge of a variety of techniques and good practice.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and its application, Health & Safety at Work Act, Working Time Directive and Equality.
