We are currently working with a leading regional employer based in Birmingham who are recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner on a 6 month contract.
The position is due to start as soon as possible and the daily rate of pay is £500-£600 inside IR35.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Representing the organisation at monthly stakeholder briefings, providing advice and direction to peers at local authorities
- Leading and managing the Senior Procurement Leads; helping them to ensure their development needs and those of their teams are met and that their potential is realised
- Delivering the Procurement Savings and Efficiency targets
- Liaising regularly with the Stakeholder, Procurement, Finance and Legal departments to ensure that project delivery runs to time, cost and is compliant
- Developing the procurement strategy for the directorate
- Providing accurate and up to date monthly progress reports to the Head of Procurement
- Writing detailed reports; effectively capturing all required updates
- Researching best practice and implementing amendments where required to enable procurement practices to remain market aligned
- Managing and developing plans to enable the example team to understand and achieve key milestones
- Deputising and supporting the Head of Procurement when required
Experience, skills & expertise required:
- Understanding and experience working under PA23
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
