Role Overview
The Operations Manager – IUC leads integrated urgent care services, including 111, clinical assessment services, face‑to‑face clinical sites, and contact centres. The role involves close collaboration with clinical, quality and service delivery teams to drive performance, improve patient outcomes, and lead continuous service improvement across multiple contracts. Key responsibilities include day‑to‑day operational oversight, influencing strategic change across the region, developing Team Managers, fostering cross‑functional collaboration, representing IC24 at system‑level meetings, and shaping the future of urgent care delivery.
Qualifications
- A confident and collaborative leader with experience managing operations in complex, fast‑paced environments
- Ability to lead teams across multiple sites and services, including both clinical and non‑clinical functions
- Experience driving performance, delivering quality improvements and leading change
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Commitment to inclusive leadership and supporting people to be their best
- Experience within urgent or primary care is welcome but not essential – we are open to strong operational leaders from other sectors
