Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen to join the Waste Services Team as Operational Business Manager. The role leads a small team delivering high quality customer services to residents and businesses within North Lincolnshire.

The applicant should be a dynamic and motivated individual and must have previous experience in managing a team of technical support staff and be able to identify training and development needs.

Role: The person will manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day work of the Operational Support Officers. The Operational Business Manager is required to build good working relationships with a number of contractors for existing contracts, process and approve contracts in line with contract KPI’s and ensure timely payments.

Be able to manage a small team to deliver the priorities of the service area whilst meeting wider Authority outcomes. Have a desire to bring creative and innovative ideas to the team, including use of emerging technologies and service improvements, to develop and enhance the service.

Be able to work with and manage the current Commercial Waste customer base and ensure we provide an effective and efficient service, as well as looking at ways to increase the customer base. Have previous experience of investigation and resolution of complaints.

Have experience of manual and electronic information systems and being able to store and retrieve information accurately, to produce management reports within a timely manner.

Have experience of financial management systems in relation to processing and management of orders, invoices, outstanding payments, verification and processing of third-party payments, income receipts and submission of timesheet adjustments.

You should possess good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
