Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA/ISO standards).
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Deliver safety induction and training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training.
- Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including audits and inspections.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and campaigns.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate HSE efforts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, etc.).
- 5 to 8 years of HSE experience in the construction industry (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites or teams.
Preferred
- Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance and sustainability practices
