Role Description
The Junior Field Service Engineer will support the operation, maintenance, and installation of PowerShield systems within the critical data environment of our customers. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role focuses on developing technical skills while ensuring high levels of system reliability and customer satisfaction. The position offers hands‑on experience in critical electrical infrastructure and exposure to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance activities at customer facilities, following operational standards and safety procedures.
- Support troubleshooting of system issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in installation, commissioning, and testing of PowerShield systems.
- Work alongside senior engineers, contractors, and vendors on maintenance and service tasks.
- Help carry out site surveys, basic testing, and on‑site support activities.
- Provide first‑level customer support via phone and email, escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist with administrative and compliance tasks such as system forms, inspections, stock checks, PAT testing, and equipment calibration.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reports.
- Follow all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Contribute to a safe working environment and a customer‑focused service culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical Engineering or Installation or a related technical field (or working towards).
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical or field service environments (internships or apprenticeships considered).
- Basic understanding of electrical systems such as UPS, batteries, and power distribution is desirable.
- Willingness to learn preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong interest in developing a career in field service engineering.
Geographical Coverage & Scope
- UK: Support service activities under supervision.
- Europe: Occasional support opportunities as experience develops.

Education and Experience

- Full onsite training will be provided
