Job Overview
We are looking for a Staff Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) (RGN) with a passion for delivering outstanding care at Cygnet Clifton Hospital. The role is 43.75 hours a week in a 25‑bed specialist low‑secure service for men with personality disorders and complex mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality.
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing.
- Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with residents, relatives, and other health‑care professionals.
- Administer medicines within healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
- Maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role.
- Apply the latest nursing practices and support patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk.
- Show compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service‑user independence.
Desirable / Desired Qualifications
- The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role.
- An interest in leadership, research and assessment.
