Job Description:I’m currently working on behalf of a well-established UK organisation to recruit a Credit Controller to join a finance team based in Harrogate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with credit control experience (or strong transferrable skills) who is keen to develop within a supportive, structured finance environment. The business is known for investing in its people, offering long-term career progression and professional development.Your new role:Reporting to an experienced Credit Control Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for managing your own customer ledger, ensuring timely cash collection while building strong internal and external relationships. Key responsibilities include:
Proactive management of a designated customer ledgerChasing overdue payments via phone and emailBuilding effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersLogging, tracking and resolving invoice queries accuratelySupporting with reports and basic debt/payment analysisAssisting with credit limit reviews underpany policyProviding team support and cover during busy periodsWhat you’ll need to succeed This role would suit someone who is confident, organised and motivated, with an interest in developing their finance career. You’ll ideally have:
Previous credit control or accounts receivable experience (beneficial but not essential – full training provided)Strongmunication skills and a confident telephone mannerGood numeracy and literacy skillsA working knowledge of Excel (formulas and pivot tables desirable)An ambitious attitude and willingness to learnWhat you’ll get in return
