Travel Operations and Customer Services Manager

Base Salary to £38,000 + Benefits

Hybrid – Central London

Our client is a B Certified travel company that creates unforgettable adventure-based travel experiences designed for fundraising challenges for both individual and group travel to worldwide destinations.

They are now recruiting for a Travel Operations and Customer Services Manager to join the team.

This is a pivotal senior, hands‑on role responsible for delivering a safe, good‑value experience for trip participants from booking through to the successful completion of their chosen challenge. The role oversees the pre‑departure experience and the management and booking of supplier services to ensure all trips run safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Trip Date Mapping documents and liaise with sales staff to optimize departure dates.
  • Administer pre‑departure checks for all active trips and coordinate communications with participants and charity partners.
  • Identify the best value flight options, selecting airlines based on flight times, layovers, cost per person, and contractual terms.
  • Negotiate trip‑specific quotes and contracts with airlines as early as possible to minimize costs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensure adherence to contractual obligations, and report issues to the CEO promptly.

Qualifications

  • Senior operations experience within adventure or student travel.
  • Experience administering group travel packages.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Experience handling customer enquiries and complaints.
