THE ROLE
As Head of Data Services, you will:
- Lead and modernise data services, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, automation, and the integration of AI and emerging technologies.
- Develop and implement a data strategy to standardise processes, ensuring high-quality and efficient data management across projects.
- Provide technical leadership in survey programming, data processing, data management, and statistical analysis.
- Oversee data security, governance, and compliance, ensuring best practices in handling sensitive survey data.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align data strategies with business objectives and contribute to organisational growth.
- Lead and develop high-performing specialist teams, fostering innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The Head of Data Services should have:
- A proven track record of managing large-scale data processes and leading data strategy transformations, ideally in a market research setting.
- Experience with survey research programming and data processing, ideally within market research, academia, government, or related fields.
- Strong technical expertise in tools such as SPSS, R, Python, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, UI/Dimensions, and Blaise – all tools are not needed.
- Some knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and an understanding of AI applications for data optimisation.
- Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing technical teams and driving organisational change.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align data strategy with broader business goals.
