Head of Procurement Shared Services

Spain (Murcia)

  • Germany (Bad Schwartau)
  • Netherlands (Breda)
  • UK (Bournemouth or London)

Are you ready to build something new — from scratch? Hero is establishing a brand new Procurement Shared Services (PSS) function, and we’re looking for a pioneering leader to shape it. This is your opportunity to design the operating model, set the standards, and establish a high impact capability that elevates how procurement works across the entire Hero Group.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Build a Procurement Shared Services Powerhouse — You will architect the PSS setup, define the service scope, design ways of working, and build the team from the ground up — creating a high performing hub that becomes essential to Hero’s future.
  • Create a Data Excellence Engine — You will design and implement robust data quality standards, ensuring master data, supplier records, and material classifications are accurate, reliable, and ready to fuel great decision making.
  • Set New Efficiency Benchmarks — You will own and elevate P2P KPIs — from PR PO cycle time to tail spend management — and design scalable processes that drive speed, accuracy, and full compliance across procurement operations.
  • Shape a Resilient, Future Fit Supplier Ecosystem — You will lead the creation of supplier KPIs, manage continuous improvement plans, ensure swift resolution of claims and invoices, and oversee daily contract lifecycle activities with precision.
  • Launch Best In Class Sourcing Enablers — You will establish and manage e sourcing tools, catalogues, spot buy processes, and auction capabilities that consolidate spend and reduce supplier complexity across the organisation.
  • Drive Cross Functional Excellence — You will collaborate with stakeholders across Hero to understand needs, remove pain points, and deliver a seamless, customer centric shared service model.

Who You Are

  • Visionary Builder & Self Starter — You thrive in blank sheet environments and feel energised by creating structures, teams, and processes from zero.
  • People First Leader — You bring strong relational skills and the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a future team. You build trust with stakeholders and suppliers through transparency and collaboration.
  • P2P Process Expert — You have solid understanding of P2P processes and procurement operations. You spot inefficiencies quickly and know how to turn them into streamlined, scalable solutions.
  • Analytical & Detail Driven — You have affinity for numbers, structure, and precision — ensuring data, KPIs, and processes are built on a foundation of quality.
  • Change Champion & Digital Mindset — You’re comfortable navigating change, bringing others along, and promoting adoption of new tools and ways of working. You understand how technology can elevate procurement performance.
