We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of high-quality engineered products used within a safety critical environment. This role will focus on the design and development of High Pressure Die Cast (HPDC) components, working closely with a small cross-functional team to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design and development of components and assemblies
- Design of High Pressure Die Cast (HPDC) products
- Producing detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
- Designing for hazardous area environments, considering certification requirements
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Strong experience designing HPDC components
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor
- Experience working with hazardous area standards such as ATEX, IECEx, CEC, or NEC is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of manufacturability and engineering best practices
