Job Overview

The National Trust is looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member to work in one of its 185 cafes, tea‑rooms and restaurants. This zero‑hour, fixed‑term contract will run until 31‑Oct‑2026. The role is based at Hatfield Forest, Takeley, Nr. Bishop Stortford, CM22 6NE and is located in a rural area.

Contract Details

Contract type: Zero‑hour contract – hours are not guaranteed and may vary with business needs. The role includes weekends and bank holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

Contract duration: Fixed term until 31‑Oct‑2026

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Team Member you will focus on front‑of‑house duties, welcoming and serving customers, offering recommendations, and maintaining high standards of food and drink preparation and presentation. You will also support the kitchen team with food preparation as required, keep displays and signage clear, and ensure compliance with allergens and food safety training. Induction, mentoring and opportunities for professional training will be provided.
