Cnc Programmer

Machinist: Location: Southend Job Type: Full-time Salary: £14.61 per hour

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manufacture a variety of small‑batch components from engineering drawings using horizontal and vertical machining centres, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances.
• Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check the dimensions and quality of manufactured components.
• Complete final drilling, deburring and packing of machined components.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the workplace.
• Carry out additional tasks as allocated by the supervisor efficiently and timely.
• Support team members with other tasks as necessary to promote a cooperative team environment.
• Adhere to all published health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a machinist in the aerospace or related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow precise manufacturing specifications.
• Skilled in the use of horizontal and vertical machining centres.
• Competent in using a variety of measuring equipment to ensure quality control.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving tight tolerances.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to various tasks within the manufacturing area.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
